BACCARAT: DIFFERENT VARIATIONS YOU CAN TRY

Many casino players enjoy Baccarat all across the globe. Each country where the game travelled through contributed to its evolution. The result is its several variations. Baccarat enjoyed a surge in popularity worldwide over the last decade. One of the reasons is the simplicity of the game. The basic rules of all these versions are the same. The goal is to get a natural nine or eight in the first two cards. Drawing a third card and getting a score closer to the perfect nine is also great. There are four main variations of the game known around the world.

Mini baccarat

A mini version of the game as indicated by the name, it only accommodates up to seven players instead of eight. Instead of having three croupiers like in the bigger version of the game, there is only one croupier. The croupier acts as the dealer and the banker. The low bet rates attract most small-time players.

Punto Banco

This version of the game started in Cuba. Baccarat made its way into Argentina in the 1950s after its rejection in the United States. This variation involves the highest number of players which is fourteen. The name came from the players and the banker. Punto are the players and Banco refers to the banker. The game uses six to eight decks. The croupier or the dealer shuffles the cards and also distributes them. The third card is part of the deal and players cannot opt out. The croupier or dealer then announces the winner.

Chemin de Fer

This French version of the game is actually an offshoot from Italy. There are slight variations compared to the other versions of the original Baccarat. The game uses six decks of cards instead of seven. The croupier shuffles the cards but does not distribute them. The player who acts as the banker is the one who deals the cards to the other players. All players take turn to be the banker. Players receive face down cards instead of face up. Each player has the option to draw a third card. The player who places the most bet gets the first chance to play. Although not a lot of people play this version lately, many casinos still offer it.

Baccarat Banque

This game is the first banking casino version of Baccarat. It is somehow like Chemin de Fer but the casino always holds the bank. Another name for this game is Baccarat à Deux Tableaux or Baccarat on Two Tables. In Baccarat Banque, the banker receives one hand and the player gets another hand. It uses three decks of cards instead of six or eight.

Baccarat is an enjoyable game perfect for those who do not want to learn complicated bets. GCLUB BACCARAT offers various online casino games you can try, including Baccarat games.
